Meaty Lasagne

We love a good Lasagne and this recipe is definitely a good one. It's tasty and packed full of meaty flavours. It's made with our Neema Fruity & Fiery for that spicy kick! Yum Yum!

Ingredients: ⠀
Bolognese ⠀
500g minced beef ⠀
200g minced sausage ⠀
2 tins chopped tomatoes ⠀
4 Tbsp tomato paste ⠀
2 onions, chopped ⠀
Olive oil ⠀
2 carrots, chopped ⠀
1 yellow pepper, chopped ⠀
2 cloves of garlic, minced ⠀
1 beef stock cube ⠀
2-3 bay leaves ⠀
1 Tbsp. mixed herbs ⠀
2 Tbsp Neema Fruity & Fiery chilli paste ⠀
Lasagne pasta sheets ⠀
Grated cheese ⠀

White sauce ⠀
500ml whole milk ⠀
1 onion, chopped ⠀
2 bay leaves ⠀
4 cloves, minced ⠀
75g butter ⠀
50g plain flour⠀

Instructions: ⠀
1) Add oil to a large frying pan on medium heat and sauté the onions. Then add the carrots, pepper, tomato paste and garlic and fry for 10 minutes. ⠀
2) Then, increase the heat slightly and add the mince. Cook until browned through, stirring continuously. ⠀
3) Then add the tomatoes, bay leaves, mixed herbs, Neema chilli paste and stock cube. Mix and bring to a boil. After, reduce the heat and leave to cook for an hour. ⠀
4) Into another pan on medium heat melt the butter. Then stir in the flour and stir continuously. Cook for 2 minutes. ⠀
5) Infuse the milk with the onion, garlic, and bay leaves for 20 minutes. Then slowly add the milk to the butter and flour, stirring continuously. Then cook the white sauce until thickened. ⠀
6) Preheat the oven to 180 C. Then into a lasagne dish add a layer of bolognese, followed by pasta sheets and topped with white sauce. Repeat the process until the dish is full. Then sprinkle the top with cheese. ⠀
7) Bake for 30 minutes. ⠀
