FRAGRANT, AROMATIC & SPICY

Ginger is used as a spice and a medicinal plant all over the world. 5,000 years ago it was a luxury commodity and was traded for the same amount as a live sheep or piece of livestock! Although originally from Southeast Asia, it is grown in Africa and many other countries in the world. When blended with the Scotch Bonnet it adds a beautiful aromatic fragrance to this chilli paste.

What does it taste like?

Ginger brings a special flavour and zest to this chilli paste. It has a warm, sweet and spicy taste and adds a pungent aroma. It tastes delicious and will lift your meals with the beautiful flavours of the Scotch Bonnet and Ginger.

What’s in it?

Scotch Bonnet, Ginger, Onion, Rapeseed Oil, Spring Onion, Garlic, Lemon Juice, Tomato Paste (Organic Tomatoes), Salt, Onion Powder, Carrot, Parsley, Turmeric, Bay Leaves. Our Ingredients are 100% all-natural and contain no preservatives.

100% Plant-Based, Suitable for Vegetarians, Vegans & Flexitarians

How spicy is it?

Scotch Bonnet is not the hottest chilli in the world but it is hot! On the Scoville scale, it has a heat rating between 100,000 and 350,000. This is between 12 and 140 times hotter than a Jalapeno. Mixed with ginger this paste is slightly less hot than our Scotch Bonnet Chilli paste.

How do I use it?
This works best with fish, pork and soup dishes and also in marinades. We also suggest that you use it as a gingery chilli dip, chilli sauce or as a condiment. We recommend 1 teaspoon per serving. You don’t need a lot, a teaspoon makes a massive difference and will lift your meals with beautiful aromatic flavours. If you are daring, you can use it as a table sauce too!

How long does it last?

Our ginger chilli paste is a staple in cupboard essentials. Once opened, keep it in the fridge for 6 weeks.
